Home Again
After 50 days on the road in which we covered 8,740 miles, Sandy and I arrived back at our home in Truckee on Sunday, June 3. During that time we traveled through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and back to California.
As we began this trip it was my intention to write of it along the way and then post those writings on my blog. Well, things did not turn out that way. After our visit to the Grand Canyon, our trip had some unexpected twists and turns. Upon the advice of my pastor, I set my writing aside and took a vacation from my computer, except for some emails along the way.
Now that I am back in Truckee, with another two months left on my sabbatical leave, I will be studying and praying and sending along some of the things that God has laid and is presently laying on my heart.
The last 50 days have been a real gift to Sandy and me. We have had no ministry responsibilities and just had each other to talk to, pray with, and study God’s Word together. The family and friends that we visited along the way, the cities and states and sites that we visited were an added bonus.
I’ll be in touch.
